Since 2008, UHN Foundation’s Honour Your Hero program has given patients and families a meaningful way to recognize the exceptional care they receive at UHN. This year, we’re proud to feature Dr. Gonzalo Sapisochin, a highly respected transplant surgeon in UHN’s Ajmera Transplant Centre and Sprott Department of Surgery, known for his expertise, compassion and unwavering dedication to his patients.
Dr. Sapisochin has been recognized 18 times in the Honour Your Hero program by those whose lives he has touched. His work in transplant not only saves lives but also exemplifies the extraordinary impact of patient-centred care.
