Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (Toronto Rehab) is a global leader in physical rehabilitation providing world-class care, research and education. The specialists at Toronto Rehab are helping people overcome the challenges of disabling injury, age-related health conditions and illness including stroke, heart disease and brain and spinal cord injuries. With seven sites across the city, Toronto Rehab is committed to ensuring that patients regain the skills, abilities and confidence to get the most out of life while setting the gold standard for rehabilitation protocols around the world.

The research arm of Toronto Rehab, KITE is the number-one rehabilitation research centre in the world. KITE is dedicated to studying people in their environments to help prevent injuries, restore function and enhance participation and independent living among those affected by disability, illness and ageing. The globally recognized researchers are actively engaged in developing new treatments, devices and products as well as gathering evidence that guides changes to policy and public opinion.

As a UHN teaching hospital fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, Toronto Rehab offers rich learning opportunities for students and staff to further their clinical expertise; for patients, families and the community to better manage their health and recovery journey; and for the next generation of innovators to be inspired by the possibilities in rehabilitation science. Donors provide vital support to create fellowships, awards, programs and tools that fuel a dynamic learning environment.

KITE combines the creativity and talents of scientists with state-of-the-art, simulated environments at a world-leading rehabilitation research centre. The world-leading scientists at KITE are developing the next innovations in rehabilitation science, bringing revolutionary treatments and technologies to those facing disability, illness or aging to help them live fully. Fellowships and scholarships allow Toronto Rehab to attract and retain the internationally recognized clinician-scientists behind these discoveries and train the next generation of research leaders.

Toronto Rehab believes that education is integral in patient care and research.
