UHN Foundation amalgamates with West Park Foundation to maximize impact on rehabilitation care at UHN

Today, UHN Foundation and West Park Foundation announce their integration, following the two hospitals formal amalgamation in 2024. This amalgamation will strengthen UHN Foundation’s support for rehabilitation medicine and the impact of fundraising for West Park Healthcare Centre. It will allow their combined resources, expertise, and networks to support the unique needs of West Park Healthcare Centre as one of UHN’s sites.

“Bringing UHN Foundation and West Park Foundation together marks a significant step forward in strengthening rehabilitation care at UHN and in Canada” said Julie Quenneville, CEO of UHN Foundation. “Together, with the support of our incredible donor community, we are expanding the impact of philanthropy and advancing a new era of innovation and excellence in rehabilitation at Canada’s #1 hospital.”

UHN’s Toronto Rehab, already Canada’s largest rehabilitation hospital, provides world-leading care across stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, cancer, cardiac, musculoskeletal, geriatric, and complex pain rehabilitation, supported by KITE, the largest rehabilitation research institute in North America. West Park Healthcare Centre adds nationally recognized expertise in complex continuing care, amputee rehabilitation, respiratory rehabilitation, and prosthetics/orthotics. Together, these programs create the broadest and most comprehensive rehabilitation portfolio on the continent spanning acute recovery, post-acute care, and community reintegration.

As of today, donations made to West Park Healthcare Centre will be accepted via UHN Foundation. For more information, please visit https://uhnfoundation.ca/
