Your generosity enables UHN to be bold through innovation and help reimagine health care in Canada and around the world. With 5 hospitals, 6 research institutes and 1 school fully dedicated to health care education, UHN is Canada’s Hospital. Actively caring for more than 500,000 patients every year, UHN is also carrying out groundbreaking research every day to address the world’s most pressing health care challenges for patients, health care systems and societies at large.

UHN Foundation is committed to maintaining a responsible cost-per-dollar ratio. We remain accountable and fully transparent in our reporting when it comes to our administrative costs. As careful stewards of donor dollars and the responsible management of administrative expenses, we maximize every dollar received to be directed to research, education and patient care at UHN.
UHN Foundation’s fiscal year ends March 31. Revenue includes events, but excludes parking and lottery.
Cost per dollar raised is calculated by dividing the fundraising and administrative expenses by total revenue .

Your donations at work
When we invest in research, patient care and education, we are driving discovery towards cures, improving quality of life for patients and their loved ones and helping train the next generation of health care leaders. Our donor community makes this possible and has helped make UHN the top research hospital in Canada and one of the top 5 hospitals worldwide according to Newsweek. Funds raised by UHN Foundation are granted to the hospital and go to support priority areas in patient care, education, research and capital projects.
