Terri-Lee Weeks is currently President & CEO of Tangerine Bank, appointed to the role on November 1, 2024. In this role, Terri-Lee is responsible for the development and implementation of Tangerine’s strategy that will drive the business forward to reach its full potential as Canada’s leading digital bank, advance its growth through innovation, and deliver simplified everyday banking solutions that help Canadians meet their financial goals.
Terri-Lee is an experienced senior leader with more than 25 years in the financial services industry in Canada and internationally, and a track record of success in driving results, delivering transformational change, and building inclusive, winning teams. She takes pride in being a collaborative partner who is recognized for fostering a strong, cohesive team environment, and as a passionate champion of inclusion.
Prior to joining Tangerine, Terri-Lee held a variety of executive roles in financial services across Capital Markets, Wealth, and Retail, bolstering her significant cross-business experience. Most recently, she served as Scotiabank’s Executive Vice President, Retail Customer, responsible for the development and execution of key initiatives for Scotiabank’s portfolio of retail clients across Canada.
Terri-Lee holds an Honours undergraduate degree from Queen’s University in Canada and a PhD from Loughborough University in the UK.
An active member of her community, Terri-Lee lives in Toronto with her husband, Stephen, and their three children and spends time mentoring post-secondary students on the future of work and volunteering as a Board member for the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada.
