September 14, 2026 – The Peter Gilgan Foundation’s 21st annual Tour de Bleu raised an incredible $6.9 million in support of brain health and research at University Health Network (UHN), taking the two-year total to $14.6 million and surpassing its fundraising goal by 22%. The event was held from September 11-13 and brought together 70 riders and philanthropists for a cycling journey from Muskoka to Toronto.
In its second and final year supporting UHN, Tour de Bleu continued its commitment to advancing research focused on neurodegenerative diseases and neuroregenerative medicine at UHN’s Krembil Brain Institute. The Krembil Brain Institute is one of the world’s leading centres for neuroscience and a hub of discovery that is redefining care for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries, stroke and other conditions that affect millions of Canadians.
