Payal Ajmera, MD is a family physician practising in the Greater Toronto Area. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Through her work in primary care, she brings a frontline perspective on health care and an understanding of the needs of patients and families. 

Her connection to UHN is both professional and personal. Through her work in medicine and her family’s longstanding support of the hospital, including the Ajmera Transplant Centre, she has developed a strong interest in advancing patient care, research and innovation. 

Payal brings a physician’s perspective, a family tradition of giving, and a belief that progress in medicine matters most when it improves people’s lives. She is interested in contributing to UHN Foundation’s work while keeping patients and families at the heart of that involvement.
