As a retired Toronto Firefighter, I know full well the incredible work UHN is known for in every way. So much so that when I was diagnosed with a heart condition in the fall, I immediately asked my cardiologist for a referral to TGH. On March 30, Dr. Ha and the entire Cardiac team worked under extremely difficult conditions due to covid to treat me so well you would have thought I was the only patient there! I will be donating to this incredible institution and am forever grateful to a staff that is second to none anywhere! Thank you Is not enough so THANK YOU ALL!

On behalf of myself and all the fathers to be, I am forever grateful to you and all your efforts being on the front lines. Thank you for fighting and protecting our public health with everything that you do. My child will live in a better place because of all your efforts.

I am approaching the 5th anniversary of my Live Donor Liver Transplant and there are not enough words to express how grateful I am, not only to my donor, but to my entire team at the Multi-Organ Transplant Program. They are not only highly skilled but they are also incredibly compassionate, supportive and understanding. I am completely confident in my care and have been since long before my transplant when I was followed by the great doctors in the Liver department. Shout out also to the Transplant Pharmacy who makes sure I am well stocked with my meds. Thank you to everyone on the 12th floor at TGH for all you do.

A huge thank you to the entire Emergency Health Care Team at Toronto Western Hospital. On Saturday November 14th I took my special needs sister to Emergency as she had a fractured humerus. Being severely disabled Sandra doesn’t speak, is deaf, requires total care for daily activities and personal needs. Everyone from the security guard, to the registration staff, to the nurses, technicians and doctors were caring, attentive, understanding and made us feel very safe. A special shout out to Dr David, Nurses Melissa and Sarah, x-ray technicians Charmaine-2 and the two lovely gentlemen that patiently took the X-rays …you are truly making a difference and we are very appreciative of all that you do. I can only imagine all of the difficulty situations that you face on a daily basis….please know that you are appreciated. Thank you and the best for all of you! 🙏💕

I don’t believe there are words in any language that can fully express the depth of gratitude we feel for your dedication, caring, and devotion in performing your duties under what are often difficult and stressful situations during normal times. But, whenever I think about what you have been called upon to deal with over these last few months, and, unfortunately, due to self-centered and ignorant people, what looks like may be for many months to come, leaves me a weeping mess. Hopefully, your schedules are allowing for some much-needed time to de-stress and find your balance, before stepping back into the chaos.

There are times when the words “Thank You” are so heavy from the weight they carry, and this is one of them.

My wife and I are so grateful to be associated with UHN. I’ve been a patient at Toronto Western since 2017. I’ve had the greatest care and follow-ups ever since. Staff in all departments, Call Centre, nursing, doctors, and emergency just to name a few, have all been wonderful and caring. YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING!

To all medical front line staff, support workers, maintenance staff, environmental services, food services, security, receptionists. Thank you for showing up everyday to ensure that our community has the best care in the world. We cannot thank you enough for putting your lives at risk every day on our behalf. Keep up the amazing work and know that your community is behind you, grateful and doing the best we can to flatten the curve.

While COVID-19 has emerged perhaps as the most horrible disaster mankind has ever known with millions of humans around the Globe falling victim to this dreaded disaster and losing their lives, it is a consoling to know that speedy research is going on to make available the vaccine to curb the menace.
Until such a prophylactic measure is to hand, men and women will continue to be exposed to the disease and rush to the hospital Emergency Unit with the hope of survival.
Dear Team UHN, let me tell you that having served as a Hospital Representative with DuPont Pharmaceuticals with responsibility for all major Teaching Hospitals in the Toronto area, part of my professional life was spent in the hospital settings. And I am fully aware of the meticulous care and concern that you extend to the suffering of humanity and making their return to homes possible.
